Windhouse

A small assignment for a windsurfdistributor called Windhouse. I made this image  with the help  of  Modo  (the windbag and numberplate) and  Vue 5 & Photoshop for the matte painting in the background.
Especially Vue is great in landscaping and has great atmosphere (like the one in this image...i like the dark, gloomy, stormridden skies). The setting is near the lighthouse "Eierland" from Texel. The place to be in a big storm!

getting the hang of UV-mapping

Finally i'm now getting deeper into UV mapping. Unfortunately UV mapping (the basics) is not a part of the tutorials within Modo. Here a simple numberplate i made for a windsurfdistributor (part of little project). The plate is also made with some bumpmapping.

Almost done here, just have to tweak a little bit and roughen up the place (it's now too clean for my taste...the woodworks is too smooth, especially  the wooden floorboard). No GI used and this pic is 1500 x 1500 (renderingtime: over 13 minutes!!)
